I've been banned from the old forum!

Postby shmick » Tue Aug 07, 2012 4:07 pm

I posted this exact message:
---
My old post for this seems to have been culled, so I'll type it again as I believe this is a bug that needs to be addressed.

Our main host has a BCF2000 connected via midi cables to the RME HDSP 9652 card.

When the remote host is flipping between monitor mixers, the midi TX and RX lights on the BCF2000 attached to the main host light up and if you're moving a fader on the main host, the fader resists movement momentarily.

The remote PC has no midi surface attached to it or configured in SAC, only the main host does.

So something from the SAC Remote is triggering midi messages on the main SAC host.
---

Shortly after it was deleted, so I posted it again and now I've been banned.

Try and find out!

Regarding the actual midi data bug, has anyone else experienced this?

I wonder if it has to do with the MON PC having FOH-MON access.

I have seen this behavior on both behringer controllers and my MotorMixes. It appears that he sends updates to the MIDI controllers even when the changes made are on the remote, and do not even involve the same channels or mixers. I would call this a bug, but I'm sure he intends it work that way for whatever reason!

I have had the fader jump a bit after hitting this issue, although never by a large amount - just something to be aware of.

So do I understand this correctly? You've been banned for three days?

Even the soup Nazi on Seinfeld banned George for one year. NO SOUP FOR YOU ... ONE YEAR. Because he asked for bread. :D

Gee..for the past few weeks all I've heard from this Forum are complaints about Bob and how you say he never follows thru with what he says he's gonna do.

He does what he says he's gonna do and now your upset about it?

You get the irony don't you?

Yes, he's changed rolls from software developer to full time forum cop. Hooray for Bob.
