I know several people that have gotten stiffed on election campaign work. Even during the recent Presidential primary campaign cycle, there were news reports of staff people quitting the campaigns of prominent candidates for lack of payment ... let alone production rental.

that looks like a dm1000 prob even a 2k. But def looks 1k to my eyes.

Nope - it's actually a DM2000. One of the most reliable consoles out there.
While we could do it channel-wise on a DM1000, we need all the outputs (and I have a lot more on the rack below the desk). For me, it's all about output isolation. I have so many "dedicated feeds" to so many people, I want the isolation so one person can't give me problems with bad equipment. I also have more routing options and DSP power with the 2K vs. the 1K. FWIW: the whitehouse people carry a DM1000 for their events (press conferences and such).

I certainly would never think of using SAC for something like this!
