Jlepore, what about VST plugins or UAD/SSL/WAVES dsp cards?
though nice to hear about 0x64, as singers always had complains about the latency.

Thanks in advance!

There is no current support for plugins yet.

I am not familiar with the DSP cards, so I don't kow how they appear to the computer. Are they currently usable with SAC? Do they just appear as additional ports in the ASIO map? If so, they would be able to be used.

I have been able to use external digitally connected devices (via AES or TDIF) just fine, and for now can get me through anything I need. The onboard eq + comps + gates + deesser on each channel (ins AND outs) handle everything I usually need a plugin for anyway.

So you're using the external devices for reverb and echo?

Yep. Or once I had a second computer running Live Professor and I did use my old TC Electronics Powercore with it. I ussually use that machine for effects playback as well.

Is there any sort of a demo planned or can the GUI be operated without the engine module for familiarization purposes?

I don't know when the release will be, but when it is available, you can run the GUI without a live engine connected. In fact, in real use, the engine does not have to even be on the same machine as the GUI.

I use SAC with high loads running 1x32 with an AMD processor and RME RAYDAT, without any slipped buffer.

Running AMP with 0x32 shaves another 2/3 of a millisecond off your latency, and will probably be less CPU utilization.
The only thing working against you is that AMD processor - they seem to lag considerably behind the equivalent Intel chip.

Pedrovent,
What are you using for a Processor, MB and RAM? And what is a "high load" for you? I've never been able to get my Raydat consistently stable beyond 2/64 with SAC. This is with 30 FOH channels and 8 stereo IEM monitor mixes. Moot for me now because I sold my Raydat for the new MOTU stuff, I'm just curious.
