AMP Release?

I'm getting ready to sell off my Mackie MCU XT Pro units, which I could never get to work (alongside the MCU Pro) with SAC.
However, if AMP could be controlled my MCU, 3 XTs, and 1 C4 units, I might be willing to hang on to them for a while. The question is, when is AMP going to be released? If it won't be sometime this year, I'm probably just going to sell the units off. If it will become available this year, I might consider moving to AMP.
I'm really vacillating between getting a GLD setup or not. However, given the competition I'm facing in my area right now, I'm not sure I'm willing to invest $10,000 in a board (plus stage boxes) and have people with Yamaha QL1 boards and line arrays underbidding me by half. OTOH, a $600 program is doable if I could finally get real control surface support (which would solve a lot of problems with guest engineers). I'd miss some features from SAC, but AMP probably has a lot of its own great things that would compensate.
However, if AMP is going to be in perpetual beta, I'd rather sell off these boxes that are sitting around taking up space.
Cheers,
Randy Hyde
