The dbx 31 band EQ's are decent and sound pretty good, however I have seen about 3 of them with a one dead channel, seems to be an odd design flaw with the power supplies. One channel looses all power while the other keeps working. Cheap enough to fix though.

The B box is decent enough, but the screen is tiny and the controls take a little getting used to. It has an odd semi-parametric mode where you can select a whole range of frequencies and adjust them all at once, sort of like a faux Q.

If your choice is between the 15-band and 31-band, buy the 31-band. Tighter Q, greater control of feedback for wedges.
