Split: Discussion about new Controller Templates

I love how just mentioning my name, and I did what he refused to do made him suddenly decide to "create" a template to do what has been asked for years. Guess I still have some influence

(and I can do up to 96 channels BTW - so you can do the channels, and outputs/fx)

Sorry I hope you don't mind me invoking your name. :D

At this point I'm in "whatever it takes" mode when it comes to actually making some of the long promised things a reality. Maybe I should say you've written your own Show Control Module for SAC.....

Doing all the channels actually takes 102 controllers... just an FYI. 72 In, 6 Returns, 24 Outputs

yes, I know ... it's just I was programming it for a 96 channel console and I never thought I'd need that many.

I am used to counting to 102 all too well when I created the API for his remote protocol - another item I am not releasing to the general public. Let's just say the protocol is so unstable, I can take ANY sac system down once I have access to the network - user rights not required.

I don't mind the invokation ... nice to see it still makes him scramble. I can only imagine what happens if I ever decide I need customer support! To bad I don't use this on real gigs anymore - it would be the perfect solution for the national artist I'm touring with these days, but I would never risk my gig on it.

By the way Richard, do you want me to let you know the bugs in his new template now, or let you have the thrill of self-discovery?
(mind you .. I haven't even put this on a machine and fired it up and I can already see it just looking in my editor)

I always did hate people that gave away the ending to the movie

And there's even MORE wrong with the new versions of the templates .... waiting for someone to experience that fun and dare to challenge the almighty .....

Congrats ... you just found the first bug .... still waiting to see who will encounter the next one...
(incidentally, it would take me about 10 minutes to fix that one ... seems Bob needs better tools to fix his own files..)

I'm gonna train you guys to detect bugs before they crash your shows if it kills me .....

I'll pay you for that 10 minutes cause that one is gonna drive me nuts. I use the ipad with the Midi Designer app and I love it, use it every time. I've been telling Bob since Sac came out that an ipad app or a screen layout for tablets is important, he's finally starting to get it.. just like always.

Anyway, like I said, I'll pay ya for that if you wanna do it.

He don't get it - it's just another way for him to get in the last sucker sales.
Let me finish the project I'm working on and I'll push out a version that works right.

Have you tried the latest with mutes and solo's by chance? :)
