In Midi Designer you can create buttons that use Midi notes instead of midi CC, I don't know how he figured it out, but it works outside of the templates in SAC. Basically all it's doing is changing the F key views that I have set up for monitor mix views. Pretty cool. Now that I've had it, I can't imagine using Sac without it. It's nice to have a way to control Sac externally and not be handcuffed with the mouse. Brett's script can control a lot more than that, it's just that's all I need for my purposes.

Are you using the one that triggers scenes or is there another? And if there's another utility, can you use more than one at once?

His script can control scenes too. I just don't need scene control from the ipad for what I'm doing, but I could easily have buttons for that with his script. I think just about whatever you can control with the keyboard, can be done with AHK. He sent me the script he made, I don't know anything about actually making one, the one he gave me just works. I think there was like three pages of commands he had programmed, all I use are faders and mutes, which are part of Bob's midi template, and some buttons that control the AHK functions that Brett made. They do work at the same time together in the Midi Designer app. Hope that makes some kinda sense.

Thanks for the info. I've got to think about how I want to do this. I have two controllers - a BCR2000 and a footswitch. I want the footswitch to control scenes using one of Brett's scripts (which I already have working), the BCR to control specific faders using the new template (which works as well), but I want a few buttons on the BCR to change mixers as well, which will require it to communicate with one of Brett's scripts, which I don't know if two will run at the same time. I guess I need to e-mail Brett...

Yeah email him, he doesn't participate here anymore. Pretty sure what Brett did was make AHK scripts that can be fired.off via MIDI. For what you want to do, I think you could also do it with something like MIDI translator.

OK…I got midi designer working.
Thanks there lead foot.

I wish I could use this with SAW. That's what I use the most.

Why can't you use it with SAW? Do those new templates not work in SAW?

Well, maybe they can. I don't know alot about it. Could they be copied from the SAC folder to the SAW folder and work?

I also had trouble getting SAW to see my iPad in the "make controller active" menu.

I would load the template in SAW and see what happens. Worst case, it doesn't work and you close SAW and forget about it. No need to even copy it over to your SAW folder, you can load a template from any folder.

Or just email Bob and ask him. LOL
