I never cease to be amazed

The comedy just keeps getting better and better at that other place.

I almost BEG them to try the latest fad and start downloading the XP Embedded code and see what happens to their systems when the right system file finally makes it into the updates

That, and then there's public enemy #1 over there telling people that windows updates are stupid anyways, so why bother? He's never had a problem except when he went porn surfing....

I'm thinking of selling the "supercharge SAC" package ... a Windows 95 disk without ANY updates on a Pentium III machine!

I don't think he is public enemy #1, I can think of far more worthless posters than him on both forums. I think he is sadly mistaken, and foolish, but not a troll. Unless I misunderstand what that term is supposed to mean. But to me it's someone who comes into a forum just to start trouble. For better or worse I think he is being genuine. :)

What amazes me the most is how long some people can and are willing to hold their breath for the hope of some updates that will have the one or two small feature updates they really want.

Luckily that "other" software console is looking better every day.

You're probably right. He irritated me, and I was grumpy.

I know a lot of people that are genuine, though. Genuinely wrong.

What gets me about the guy is that he asks very basic questions, and then proceeds to lecture (wrongly) on method.

Yeah I know... some folks shouldn't write tutorials... actually... let's be honest, most folks are not very good at writing tutorials. Or maybe it's just me that gets to see a lot of bad ones.... or maybe my standards are just too high.... LOL...
