Difficult question. The program naturally uses multiple cores. Since it is designed properly as a client-server design, the user interface runs in a totally process space, can use any amount of CPU that it needs, and doesn't even need to be on the same physical machine as the server (engine) that actually handles the audio. There is additional stuff that I don't wish to describe here that actually makes it even better.
If I was just running the engine on my machine, the load was actually only 6%!
