I know I'm glad I kept my VHF mics I almost never have any problem with them since all the TV moved to UHF
Of course I would never use any of the 25 or so 700 mhz systems I have  even though nothing is on that band in my area
I can't wait for the 600 mh band to go away :x :protest:

I would highly recommend that no one uses anything in 700MHz or if you do, be VERY careful about what you say that could be used against you. Yeah, sure nothing will likely every happen, but if someone ever did file a complaint and in the rare case the FCC did come after you, it is literally a fine of many thousands of dollars per incident (i.e. per day or per performance). Just not worth the risk. Which is why I always cringe when I see some of the village idiots over on the other forum (you know who I mean) talking about how they don't think they need to clear out of the 700Mhz band. Ummmm... by announcing in a public forum you might as well just write to the FCC and admit you're not following the rules.

This of course completely ignores the fact that while it might look empty you never know when something with a much more powerful transmitter than your puny little wireless mic is going to turn on and squash it. Thereby ruining your performance or whatever you're using it for.

Yes .. the band is always empty during soundcheck - then comes the audience with the new devices that use that band.

Sit back and enjoy the show

Like I always say,
This would be a great place to work, if it weren't for the performers and the audience.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that.

Although I usually limit it to the audience....
