OK... and you can let go of your breath.... for a little while until you start to wait for the next one.

That's because you just took a breath in order to be able to type this... if you had just held your breath since 2011... you would have had it by x-mas 2015....

While some of those Show Control Window improvements may be nice for what I do, it is kind of too little, too late for me frankly. This summer's rep out in Idaho will be the last time I use SAC and probably SAW as well. Unless a remount pops up out of the blue.

It really looks more and more like he is just working on things that pop up that he wants for himself. Or maybe Lee Pepper or someone like that wants.

Richard,

Just out of curiosity, to which platform are you switching?

For most things I use SAC for I will be using AMP. I plan on using it for some benefit performances in about a month. We'll see how that goes. After that I don't have any shows were I need a software console till Oct-Nov. Since I have a new day gig, I'm cutting back on how many theatre shows I design and focusing on shows that I want to work on as opposed to doing it for a living. I won't be out in Idaho next summer so for better or worse I won't get a chance to put AMP to the test in the highest profile and largest I/O count venue I have been using SAC in. Well unless by some chance whomever they replace me with decides they want to rent my gear from me. But I doubt it...

I have lots of places where I regularly have 60+ inputs going between band, wireless, area, playback, offstage and support sources. But only in Idaho have I had output counts that were at least 50% of the input count and on the playback only shows there are almost as many inputs as outputs.

Is AMP going to be released to the general public or are you going to be using the closed Beta testing system?

I don't know when it's going to be released to the public. I suspect when I try it next month it will still be in Beta. But that is just my hunch... I'm not in charge. :)

Wonder if you can buy into the beta? I signed up for the forums but even when logged in I can't see the private area. I'm so jealous.
http://softwareaudioconsole.wikidot.com The start of a wiki. It's slow going and there's a ton of info that should be in there yet.
Biggest item is the Command Reference on how to do most actions within SAC. It's 90% of what you need for UI proficiency.

Ha,ha....

Yeah the hole in the forum security that was allowing some folks to read and even post in what was supposed to be the private area has been patched. Sorry... blame Joe, he is the one that pointed out the security hole!
