Yeah I can see that. However...
MOTU Digital Performer. Hence why it at least used to be the go to for backing tracks and that kind of crap for concerts.
I would also argue that just about every DAW out there has it's one or two things it does better than anyone else.
And lets remember that SAW Full was actually $2500 till not that long ago.
Frankly I've always thought the pricing for SAC and SAW was backward. SAW was way overpriced for what it does unless you go back to the very early days when it was truly an inovative product. And I always wished SAC was more expensive just to keep some of the total noobs away.
It could have meant a few less sales but also less support issues and probably just as much of a revenue stream. At least until all the cheap competition showed up. Of course if SAC was say $2000 there would have been even more pressure and expectations of feature request being implemented and actually doing what you said you would do.
