Haze?

Postby Paul Henry » Thu Oct 30, 2014 4:06 pm

A venue I work at is looking for a good bang for the buck Haze machine. Does anyone have any recommendations, or cautions, for an inexpensive machine for a 20'x20' covered stage in a courtyard type setting?

Thanks Guys.

To cover a 20'x20' area almost any cheap hazer should do.

Thanks for the tip.

I keep hearing that oil based haze leaves a residue. Is that a nit picky statement or does it really get all over everything and make a problematic mess?

Use water based haze.
Also, don't confuse foggers with hazers. They are really different things.
Outdoors, hazers can be worthless unless you are in a place with little to no wind.
Are they hazing to see the beams of the lights?

Another tip: You can use a small fan in front of the hazer to help the haze go in the direction you need it to go.

Yes, they just want to make the lighting more effective, the stage is in a courtyard with high walls all around, but semi outdoors nonetheless. The area is fairly well lit so the stage lights don't show up as much as they would like, so they want the haze to make the lighting more visible.
